Synchronized motion, minus the fuss. The 7170 is a manual synchronizing gearbox system for double-leaf doors. A bevel gearbox is located beneath each pivot point, with both gearboxes connected by a rigid coupling rod. Move one door leaf and the other follows at a precise 1:1 ratio. The right-hand leaf has a fixed lead of approximately 3°, providing the required overclosure against the oven chamber when the doors are closed. There is no need for chains: no retensioning, less play, and dependable performance in everyday use. The doors are mounted on support arms and guide rails, while the system replaces the lower hinge and is integrated beneath the door, outside the oven chamber. The final positions are defined by the oven or door design. As a useful extra, a position switch on the gearbox can support process interlocks – for example, ensuring that baking only starts once the doors are properly closed.
